    2. Hi Listers -- I received this from another list I belong to.. Thought it would be of interest to the Ky. bunch. Please excuse if you see it more than once as I am cross listing.. Because of the many requests I am posting to the list, but also made the offer to the Edgefield List and hope this covers both. Please note the quotations marks at the beginning; they are of the same source, not my own notations. I have marked names most often associated with our families. Examples: 1. 1. [KYTRIGG] 1800 Census/Tax List Barren Co
    2. pj
    3. Hello........I have a question......I assume the 1800 census for Barren Co is really constructed from the tax list........am I correct on this? Also was there any other records used to construct this census? Is there any records to indicate how many were in the household in 1800 or any period time from just before 1800 up to 1810????? I refer to the Thomas McCLAIN/McLEAN that is listed for 1800 and 1810.......I think this is the same one that was born in Rockingham Co, NC......maybe settled in Barren Co, Ky for a span of time and then by 1820 is in Trigg Co, Kentucky........can anyone enlighten me on this man and these census????? Thank you ......pj
