    2. Kenneth E. Gilkey
    3. Hi Listers, After numerous inquiries about the new Odell Walker book, here is the address for purchasing it. I have NO monetary interest in this book... Lyon County Historical Press 269 Jack Thomason Road Kuttawa, Ky. 42055 My wife informed me it was $25.00 plus postage.. There is also a phone # listed in the book... 1-270-388-9986 I am abt. 1/3 of the way into it and have really enjoyed it so far. It is quite possible he also has the 1994 book. 1. [KYTRIGG] Santa's Gift
    2. Kenneth E. Gilkey
    3. Hi Listers, SEASON GREETINGS, Santa came to my house and he brought me a great gift. Would like to tell y'all a little about it. It is Odell Walker's new book (pub. 2002) "In Lyon County, Saturday was Town Day" Part 1. A wide range of subjects from history to folklore... Part 2. A history of Lyon Co. one-room schools... Part 3. A brief history of churches from Between the Rivers... Part 4. A brief history of other churches in Lyon County..... "Most of the material in this book is from previously published articles in The Herald-Ledger, Eddyville, Ky. " It is a companion to his first book pub. 1994, "Profiles of the Past" It is, what I have read, (so far) a very interesting book, with a lot of Lyon Co. history contained in its pages. Would appear to be a must for any Lyon Co. researcher or history buff... Merry Christmas Ken G. \\\|/// \\ ~ ~ // ( @ @ ) ----oOOo-(_)-oOOo----McGillekehr ********************************************************************** *****Your kygenweb homepages are***** CALDWELL http://home.hiwaay.net/~woliver/caldwell.html LYON http://home.hiwaay.net/~woliver/lyon.html TRIGG http://www.kyseeker.com/trigg/index.html **********************************************************************

Do you have the latest BOAZ BOOK done by another ancestor (I can't locate the book right at this minute, am in the process of preparing to move). It was done about three years ago and is very well done. Many changes from Hiram Boaz's book (which I have also). My descending ancestry is R.D., Henry Leighton, Evan Daniel, and my Mom, Lula P. Boaz. Leighton's father was Meshach (very little info on him), do you have any further info on him? Then Thomas m. Eleanor Archdeacon. This info was readily available so you probably have it. It would be interesting to have the descendants of Mary Elizabeth which you must have. I'd love to hear from you. email me personally, if you will, please. Thanks. Dean

    3. I have a Sholar in my family. Hardiman Dunning bn abt 1776 in Bertie Co NC married Winifred Ann Sholar bn 1776 in Ireland, in 1794 in Bertie Co, NC. They came to Wallonia, Trigg Co, about 1802, their 3rd child was born in 1800 in NC and their 4th child was born in 1804 in Wallonia. I haven't been able to find Winifred's parents. I also have a friend who is related to the Sholars from Cerulean Springs, but we have been unable to make a connection.
