Redd and her husband Benjamin Franklin Satterfield, Elizabeth, her mother and her father. Mary and Benjamin are my grandparents. She had a brother named Milton A. There was also a Drucilla Redd listed. Benjamin's parents were William Satterfield and Charlotte Dalton. They were in TN around 1860-70 and at some point moved to Trigg Co. Ky. She is buried there, but I have no information on where Wm. is buried, or where he died. My father was Guy Satterfield, born in Cadiz, Trigg Co., KY. in 1897. He was the youngest child. He had a brother named Royal and a sister named Erma. Their parents died when they were very small and Elizabeth took them, then died within a year or two, and they were taken in by other families. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it.
I checked the Hopkins Co marriages, 1807-1868. There is no marriage for an Everett, male or female, recorded here. I am relatively new to genealogy and new to this site. It sounds very informative and friendly. I have recently found out that I descended from the Cunningham family of Trigg County, KY and am interested in the source: Wm Cunningham and Nancy Carr and Allied Families. Also, I would like to know about their reunion each year. If I come there to research. where would I look for information? Because of volunteers, I have found out a lot on the internet, but I want to look at records. Thanks, Gloria Cunningham Lay

Among my mother's ancestors is an Isaac G. Wilb*rn, (pick your favorite spelling), b. about 1792, who is believed to be the father of Catherine, b. about 1826, John, b about 1831, and William Wilb*rn, b. about 1833. Records in Obion Co, TN (where the above were all listed in the 1850 census) have recently turned up references to an Isaac Y. Wilb*rn, who was the administrator of the estate of Catherine's late husband Jonas B. Meadows after his death in 1849. Is it reasonable to think that Isaac Y. would have been Catherine's brother? Does anybody have these people in their files? Thanks. ===== Marsha L. Ensminger searching for Westerhold/t/z in the US and ? __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? THE FOLLOWING IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR A NEW BOOK. This list has no financial interest in this book>>>> April 18, 2003 Greetings, RE: OLIVER KEN-FOLKS I will be sending my Oliver research to the printer the middle of May, 2003. This will be a two volume set, hardcover. The books will have approx. 650 pages each. The books will have over 13,000 related kinfolks. Probably ninety percent of these are in the Caldwell, Crittenden, Trigg, Lyon counties area. Just about any family surname, south of the Caldwell County Courthouse, including Trigg & Lyon County are in it. I started to list some surnames in this letter, but, they run from Abell to Zeigler ! ! ! There is also a compilation on the Oliver families that went to Texas, Mississippi, Illinois, and Missouri. The book will contain approx 40 pages of pictures of Oliver family members. Due to the tremendous cost of printing these books, I will ONLY order those books that I have a deposit for. The cost will be $80.00 for the 2-volume set, in hardcover, postage-paid. A deposit of $40.00 will be required to put your name on an order.. This is my research that I have compiled over a number of years. Also the compiled research of a number of others. This is not a TELEPHONE BOOK LISTING of a bunch of Olivers. This is a book covering the Olivers from their early settlement in Caldwell, circa 1815 to the present. As I do not have a complete address book for all the Oliver descendants in the book, I urge each of you to contact your family members and tell them about this Oliver Book. The words I hear the most are "Thats not my line of Olivers, We are not related." In all my research ALL I have found in this book are The Fauquier County, Va. Olivers. Therefore, if you are from Caldwell, Crittenden, Lyon or Trigg and related to an Oliver, you belong to this Clan, as it is the ONLY Clan of Olivers in this area. If you want or need further information on this book contact me or to order: Mail....................................Kenneth Gilkey 409 Hillcrest Drive. PREVIOULY PUBLISHED IN ROOTSWEB REVIEW Vol. 6, no. 16, 16 April 2003 7. FROM ROOTSWEB REVIEW'S BOTTOMLESS MAILBAG [Editor's note: The opinions expressed herein are those of the authors and are not necessarily those of the editor or of RootsWeb.com]. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Putting Our Ears On I have an interesting family by any definition of the term, but one ancestor in particular has been a headache for decades. My 2g- grandfather was the actual immigrant. In Germany he was named Johann Christlieb DIETZMANN, but in America he became John C. DIETZMAN. Being well-to-do, by the standards of the day, he was able to bring his family along, including my great-grandfather, who was born in Germany. For reasons known only to my ancestors, (perhaps a streak of insanity in the line?) they gave him "the name from hell." He was born Traugott Glaubagott Fuchtegott DIETZMAN. He is most often found as "Trouket" DIETZMAN, sometimes changed to "Trucott." In one U.S. census he is listed as "Henry" and in another as "Frank" (best readings) but the uncommon names of his wife and children allow us to trace him, anyway. But on the death certificate of his youngest child (by his first wife) the decedent's father's name is given as "Crockett" DIETZMAN. Some people have further incorrectly extrapolated the name and list him, based on this wrong datum, as David Crockett DIETZMAN. Whatever was "going around" at the time of his birth, he wasn't totally alone. His mother's maiden name was OBENAUF, and in his generation there was also a Traugott Glaubagott Fuchtegott OBENAUF to keep him company. The ultimate advice is, don't even accept so-called PRIMARY sources at face value. --W. Would someone tell me about the town of Golden Pond? When was it formed, was it known by another name? Who formed the town? Would anyone be familiar with the family of Hugh and Grace (Murray) McMann or George and Jane Samantha Murray? Thank you for any help you can give me. Laura, A few years ago I ordered a Trigg Cemetery book that appears a copy of Maupin's book. It has no ID of any kind in it. Do you know if it is exactly the same as Maupin's? Who did the cemetery relocation book? And is it still available? I have seen it in the library here and copied some pages. Questions,question,questions.....
