Posted by Nancy Trice on the Hopkins Co., Ky. mail List -- Part: 1 -- --> PUTTING FACES AND STORIES ON DEATHS IN IRAQ The death toll for our military people in Iraq is now about 500. Too often we hear that someone has been killed in a roadside bombing or a helicopter crash. The news is quickly gone. MilitaryCity.com has put faces and stories on those reports. A news story about each of those killed is on the site. Many also have pictures. These people deserve to be more than names in fleeting news stories. You'll find it all at: http://www.militarycity.com/valor/honor.html --> AND PLEASE, DON'T FORGET ABOUT VIETNAM While Stacey Hansen was vacationing in Vietnam, she found some dog tags in a museum. She purchased them for about $2 each. Then, she spent the remainder of her trip looking for more tags. She now has over 500 dog tags that she wants to return to their rightful owners--the veterans themselves, or their families. You can contribute tags and check the list online here: http://www.vietnamdogtags.com nt ********************************************************************** ********************************************************************** *****Your kygenweb homepages are***** CALDWELL http://home.hiwaay.net/~woliver/caldwell.html LYON http://home.hiwaay.net/~woliver/lyon.html TRIGG http://www.kyseeker.com/trigg/index.html **********************************************************************

Does anyone know if there are any records in existence for Long Creek Primitive Baptist Church which was located where the Long Creek Cemetery is in Trigg County? To any Eggner, Egner or know of someone interested the Egner Surname, the Egner list is looking for anyone seriously interested in participating in a DNA project. The costs would probably be $150-$250 for each person tested. It depends on which test is chosen (the larger the marker number the more costly but the further back in time you are testing for relationship). The y-DNA testing I believe would be for males with the EGNER, EGNOR, AGNER, AGNOR name. We would need to try to prove connections to Mathias Egner or Johannes Aegender. Those descendants of later immigrants could also participate, trying to see if they are connected with one another. There is a test for women descendants, but not sure how that works (not sure if the mother of the person tested would have to be a Egner/Agner). We would need to get as many participants as possible....even those you may have contact with outside this list. I don't think we would need members of the same immediate family however. We have a relatively small family and I fear between that and the costs, we may not be able get enough participants. Please let me know if you have a serious interest in participating and from which immigrant you believe to be descended. Also let me know if you have anyone else who might be interested. --(EGNER) list host Celia :o) Please respond to the Mailto:EGNER-L@rootsweb.com if your interested. Hi Jan I noticed the mcquitty in your email address...is that by chance a relation to McQuithey....my grandfather was Thomas McQuithey and I have been trying to find any information on him (parents, where he was born,e tc.)...and have really come up against a brick wall.
