    2. Tim posted some information about censuses of NC. This was URL http://www.census-online.com/links/NC.html I'm not sure you can locate someone with a common name, but there seem to be quite a few 1790 censuses for various NC counties, which cenus one must use with caution. I think the original census was damaged or destroyed and I believe this census is reconstructed from tax lists. But, hey, we genealogists grasp at straws all the time. We expand our skills by going down blind alleys sometimes. I always learn something, even if it is the wrong place. E.W.Wallace southern California

    3. Nancy E. Joiner was born 1 Nov 1839 in Trigg Co., KY. Her parents were Burrell Joiner and Tabitha Francis. She married E.D. Stephens on 20 May 1858. This is the only information I have for this couple. I'd appreciate any additions/corrections....especially information on any children they may have had. Does anyone know who E.D. Stephens was? His ancestry? Kathy in FL [email protected]

    1. [KYTRIGG] Link to NC Census
    2. Thanks, Tim, for providing the link to the NC census. I found much more than the census, at least for Rowan Co., NC. Many Christian and Trigg county people had earlier roots in old Rowan Co. I am thinking particularly of Allen Grace, an early settler of Trigg, who married Christenia Lash (aka Loesch?) in Surry Co., NC. Doubtless her family in an earlier generation had been Moravians. More research is needed on this Lash/Loesch family to make that link. Some many ancestors and so little time! Thanks for the link. E.W.Wallace

    1. [KYTRIGG] William Joiner/Sally Clark
    2. MICHAEL MARTINEZ
    3. Tim, here's another Joiner/Clark connection...to go along with the Clark that married Matilda V. Joiner ... but this one was very early and probably without issue. William Joiner (son of Thomas Joyner and Patience Wester) was born about 1790. He was married first to Sally Clark on 26 Feb 1811. She probably died in childbirth...given the times....because William married 2nd to Patsy Lane on 20 Jul 1813. I only know of one child by the second marriage: Burrell Joiner (who later married Tabitha Francis) who was born in 1815 in Trigg Co., KY. Kathy in FL [email protected]

    1. Re: [KYTRIGG] Re: Seeking Pool(e) family
    2. Kathy, Thanks for your info. It doesn't match anything I have (yet !). Do you have anything on a Zachariah Petipool, or a Dinkman Richard Pool. These are forebears of Daniel Poole, that have been reported to me as settling in the KY area. Zachariah Petipool is supposed to have emigrated to KY from Holland. Dinkman Richard Pool was his son. Do any of these ring a bell for you? Thanks for your time, Alana [email protected]

    3. My Pool/Poole's came out of NC and then into a group of people that were in both Trigg Co., KY and Montgomery Co., TN. They married into the Clardy's too. I don't have a Daniel listed but maybe this will give you a direction to look. 3. Hi Tim: Well, you have thrown me a curve. I thought I had an answer, and it turns out I don't even have a James W. Grasty in my database! Can you tell me who his parents were? I have thirty three Grasty's, but none match. Lucy Anne Grasty was my ggrandmother, and I'll bet she was a relation. Her father was John M. Grasty married Cynthia McWaters, and his father was John Grasty, etc. Any comments?
