Her parents were Gilliam Ezell and Nancy Slaughter. She died 25 May 1863. Note: Both Thomas and Nancy are buried on their old home place located on Highway 107 -- a farm which in 1974 was owned by the Robertson family, midway between Herndon and Lafayette, KY. Hello Michael---You have just helped me solve a nagging problem in my KNIGHT line. HARRIET E. KNIGHT was my great Aunt. My Father, Alvin Carter Knight told me she had married a Joiner or a Coleman. He could not remember any given name. Harriet was the dau of RICHARD KNIGHT and ELIZABETH FRANCIS b Oct 1862 in Trigg. I do not have any documented records beyond Richard. Elizabeth Francis was the dau of LEVI FRANCIS and JANE (her maiden name unknown). Could you tell me where the record of Harriet and Joiner's marr is found? I must have missed it somewhere, because I've searched for it. Of course, I did not know if I was looking for a marr for Joiner or Coleman. Please respond. Helen Knight Bujnak --- [email protected]
These Futrell's are so confusin!! I have Daniel Futrell, b. 6/21/1770 married Ava Calhoun. Their children were: Winbourne, b. 1791 and Hansel, b. 1798. I haven't had a chance to look at the census on the Futrell's and life is a bit hectic right now so will be awhile before I get to it so I have nothing conclusive on this yet. Where is your information from? Maybe I can try to do a quick scan and see what I come up with. Kaye.
The "Nashville Tennessean" now has obituaries on line at: http://www.tennessean.com Mary
While typing on microfilm this evening..... I found a tribute to Rev. James Spurlin an old Baptist ministers who was struck while in the pulpit and died that nite .... I had his obituary and found his picture in the Meacham book of Christian County... and later found the write up... but tonight I found another jewel - I found the tribute.... I can just see that long white hair a flying with cold blue eyes penetrating and his finger thumping on his bible and walking up and down... Look at the update at: http://www.kyseeker.com/christian/spurlin.html
