    1. [KYTODD] Grisham, Dorris, Qualls, Sears, Shemwell, Christian, etc.
    2. I'm searching for relatives of a Grisham family that moved to Todd Co. some time in the 1850's. My William Grisham and his wife Eleanor Dorris Grisham came from Sumner, originally. On the 1860 Todd census they had the following children: William Pasley Grisham, James F.(?), Elizabeth Jane, John Mathes Grisham, Benjamin R., Levi Andrew, and James Samuel Grisham. William Pasley Grisham married Elizabeth Jane Cornelius. Elizabeth Jane married William Addison. Levi Andrew married 1st Margaret Elizabeth Sears, 2nd Jennie (maiden name unknown). John Mathes Grisham married Sarah Elizabeth Qualls. James Samuel Grisham married 1st Annie Shemwell, 2nd Anna E. Christian. James F.(?) is a mystery. He disappears after the 1860 census and his middle initial is uncertain as the writing back then was a bit odd. Benjamin R. goes missing after the 1880 census. At that time he was still living with his mother, Eleanor (Ellen). I have quite a bit of information on these folks, but still have several holes. Would love to have info and Sarah Qualls. On the 1870 Todd census, she and a Samuel Qualls were living with the Samuel Sherrode family, probably as domestic and farm labor. The Sherrodes may have been guardians, but as Sarah is of Cherokee descent, I'd imagine these two Qualls were in servitude. Annie Shemwell died very young. Would love information on her family. Quite a few of these folks are buried in Gant Cemetery. Levi moved to Henderson Co. KY, but his daughter Sophronia "Fronie" married Leander Richmond and moved back to Todd. I would love to share information with anyone that has connections to these people. I believe that some of the Grishams from this line still reside in Todd. Jenny at eddnick@aol.com
