I finally busted my brick wall. Came crashing down after searching for so long. NOW, of course, there are holes to fill in. I need as much info as I can obtain on SAMUEL SHERROD, PIETY HORN and their children, etc. One of their daughters, SARAH E. SHERROD, married CLINTON LAFAYETTE QUARLES, later changed to QUALLS. Clinton died in the Civil War and apparently Sarah also died during that same time period. They were in Robertson County, TN before their deaths. Their children were scattered amongst relatives, one of which was SAMUEL SHERROD and his wife, PIETY, living in Todd County. I have access to census info so I can acquire some of the other kids names. At this point I'm looking for HORN and SHERROD info. Happy to say that I now have my Qualls line mapped out! Such a thrill!
