re: is there a John L. Mauzy or any Mauzy on the 1880 Todd County Census (posted by Sigrah@aol.com): I show 3 Mauzy's on the census for 1880; living with a family of William Schinick and wife Mary Schinick. The 3 Mauzy's are listed as: Ellie Mauzy, niece, born 1874; Arthor Mauzy, son born 1876; Estell Mauzy, niece, born 1876. Allensville District, Todd County, KY FHL Film 1254442, National Archives Film T9-0442, page 107D William Schinick lists his place of birth as Maryland. His wife Mary was born in Kentucky and all 3 Mauzy's are listed as being born in Kentucky. My guess is that Arthor, noted as son, must be Mary Mauzy's son from a previous marriage. Searching the state of Kentucky I found no John Mauzy, J. L. Mauzy or J Mauzy or L Mauzy using spelling variations of Mauzy, Mauzey or Mauzie.
