Hi: I have been trying to untangle some of these Lathams. The problem is they all have the same names, married into the same families, etc. There is a lot of mis-information on LDS and FTM. Some of my info comes from cousins and some from work my cousin did years ago before the Internet. He would go to the Libraries and Courthouses and do hands on research.I have tried to verify what I can but know there are some errors in my data.My site on World Connect is : http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=jholeman&id=I2589 Just scroll down to descendants. If you need more info on a certain person- click on that name and if I have any additional info,it will be there. These Lathams are a real challenge to try and get them in the right families. My direct descent is: Direct Descendants of Jeremiah Latham to Joyce Davies Holeman 1 Jeremiah Latham 2 Elijah Latham b: 1765 --- +Betsy Driskell -- 3 Bazel Latham b: 1788 ----- +Permelia McLaughlinm: 1809 Robertson Co,TN d: Bef. 1839 ---- 4 Stephen Latham b: Jan 6, 1819 d: Apr 6, 1900 ------- +Francis McColpin m: Jan 21, 1848 Todd County,KY ------- 5 Nancy Jane Latham b: Nov 6, 1852 d: Dec 30, 1951 --------- + James A Mcginnis b: 1847 m: Sep 23, 1868 Crawford Co,IL --------- 6 James Albert McGinnis b: Feb 11, 1872 d: 1934 ------------ +Flora Elnora Huffman b.Jan 26,1878 m.Jul 21,1894 d. Jan 3, 1962 ----------- 7Blanche McGinnis b.Oct 4, 1917 -------------- +William S Davies b.Apr 6, 1914 m.1935 IL d.1984 ------------- 8 Joyce Anne Davies b.Apr 19, 1936[ME] * Claude A Holeman b.Oct 31,1934 [Hubby] m.1954 Maybe with all of us working on this we can get these Lathams in the right families---------Joyce from NW Indiana
Can anyone accurately sort out the marriage of a Martha Jane Paxton, I have seen in various records that she was married to both William H. Latham and William Sheldon Latham on Nov. 11, 1851, Mary Latham
Ah, Becky , Mr. Greenfield mentioned your name and sent me pictures of Emily Latham. It took me awhile to figure out how Emily Latham fits into the Latham picture. I have close to 1700 names in my collection of Lathams'. But I am afraid I have some of their descendents scrambled up collecting some of this information. I think I have some of the Driskill's sorted out. Mlatham@twmi.rr.com
I have information on Elijah Latham and Stephen R. his son which may help sort it out and some information on the different Driskills. Elijah married Mary Elizabeth Betsy Unknown but possibly Sears and they had a child who was Stephen R. Latham who married Mary Elizabeth "Polly" Sears. I have the descendants from that line if you will give me your address. Becky
