Surnames: Crowder & Bearden Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gBB.2ACE/1075.1 Message Board Post: Dear Anna, I have access to the 1850 and 1860 Todd Co. Census. Could you tell me a little bit more about the Bearden family? I found alot of Crowders listed as being buried at a Gant Cemetery in Todd Co. If you could tell me the first names of the Bearden family, and also the location in Todd Co. such as the town, if you have this info. handy. I will be glad to look these up for you. I looked in the 1850 census and it list a Eleanor Crowder and the only thing close to the Bearden name was a family named Beard. Hopes this helps! Sincerely, Helen

If anyone has cemetary records and could look for me I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance Leslie Maurice

    1. [KYTODD] YANCEY, John -- SE(A)RGENT, Willie H.
    2. Janet K Daily
    3. Still looking for information on a John YANCEY of Fairview, KY. He apparently raised my nephew, my grandfather, (John Leslie SERGEANT, b. June 12, 1884, d. Mar. 25, 1913) following the death of his sister, (Maria(h) Thomas ("Tommie") YANCEY, b. July 19, 1855, d. January 1, 1892). I would like to trace my YANCEY roots and to date have very little more than what I have posted here. I remember my mother telling me about the drygoods store in Fairview that "Uncle John" YANCEY owned (and operated). Also, with regard to my great-grandfather, Willie H. SE(A)RGENT, "Tommie"'s husband, we were always told that he died shortly after Tommie, but never had any other information. I have since found a "Willie SERGEANT" who married a Katie WILES on 17 Oct. 1893 in Trigg Co. KY, but have no proof that this is the same man. If it is, and he "deserted" his son after his wife's death (or before?) it could be why he was not spoken of in the family. Any help will be appreciated. Janet Keeling Daily
