    1. [KYTODD] Whites Chapel Cemetery
    2. Jo
    3. Hello I am researching Virginia T. Clark who died in Guthrie, Todd County, Kentucky March 3, 1923. On her obituary is says place of burial is Whites Chapel. Would anyone on the list know where this is? This family also lived in Montgomery County, Tennessee until Virginia's husband, Charles died in 1909. Maybe Whites Chapel is in Tennessee. Any help or clues appreciated, thanks, Jo Pace JoPace46@attbi.com

    1. [KYTODD] Dabney Smith
    2. Dabney died in 1860. I am trying to locate legal documents pertaining to the dispossession of his property. I would assume beginning in 1860 and through 1870 would be the time frame that would be of importance. What we are trying to locate are the children of Dabney. Hopefully there is a will and if not perhaps there will be an estate sale or power of attorneys taking place. Anything that will connect the children to their father. Thanks Sterling Parker

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gBB.2ACE/51.57 Message Board Post: I too am researching McPherson surname. I am off on a long shot but am questioning the possiblity of a John McPherson born around 1832. Not sure of his parents names but looking into Jesse and Nancy Ash McPherson also Alexander and Catharine Devoe McPherson. I believe the census information I have on John McPherson to be correct. According to that he was born abt. 1832, wife was a Susan (possibly last name of Gable) He was born in "VA". They resided in Wolf Co. Ky and had several children listed with them in the 1910/1900 census. Is there any chance our information fits together? Also while searching on a lds.org site I seen something for a "McPherson Cemetery" in Todd Co. Never heard of one before. Are you familiar with anything about it? Please respond!

    3. I too would be very interested in this family. I have an Emily "Shepard" that was born in Logan County about 1838 who married James/Jack McCarter and had the following children: Lee Ella McCarter (b. 1869 and married James Thurston Chapman, Jr.), Sarah Eliza "Sallie" McCarter (b. 4 Oct 1870 in Todd County, KY - never married), and William A. McCarter (b. about 1873 and married a woman named Susan. There is also a marriage for an Emily Shepherd that married a Robert McCarter in Montgomery County, TN in 1861. It may be that my Emily Shepherd was married before to a young man that died in the Civil War and then remarried one of his relatives.
