More clues, more mysteries. Does anyone out there have information on SARAH E. SHERROD/SHERRARD, daughter of SAMUEL SHERROD/SHERRARD & PIETY HORN. I have found a marriage between a SARAH E. SHERROD & C.L. QUARLES/QUALLS. I'm not 100 percent certain, but I believe these folks are my great-great grandmother's parents. I just received my great-great grandmother's death certificate. FINALLY! Although there are errors regarding her birth date, I've no doubt the info about her parents is correct. Now, I'm looking for information on JOHN QUALLS & his wife, BETTY SHERROD. Betty could be short for ELIZABETH. Also, SHERROD is likely SHERRARD, as my gg grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Qualls, was living with the family of SAMUEL SHERRARD on the 1870 Todd county census. At this time, SAMUEL SHERRARD was 67. His wife, 63. There is also a SAMUEL QUALLS living there. Guess this SHERRARD family might be her grandparents! This road has been a toughie, folks. She was born in Hopkins County on Sept. 21, 1921, to the late Field S. and Elizabeth House Blanchard. She was a LPN and worked at Kentucky Rest Haven for several years and also at the Hopkins County Hospital. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dawson Springs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elwood Latham in 1944; her second husband, William H. Bivins in 1986; one daughter, Paula Bivins Jimenez in 1991; three sisters, Helen Barber, Jiletta Bivins and Jean Riddle; and one brother, Joe Blanchard. She is survived by five daughters, Linda Latham Meredith of Aurora, Ill., Betsy Bivins Franks and Kathy Bivins Hickerson, both of Dawson Springs, and Jan Bivins Nicholson and Tammy Bivins Walker, both of Madisonville, Ky.; three sons, J.G. Hi, I am searching for a family that was living in Guthrie, KY in as early as 1936 (probably earlier) and until at least 1944 - (have determined this from Photos that are dated on the back). My Alfred Maurice, married a women by the name of Nellie. Nellie had a son from a previous marriage named Ed. I do not know what her last name was or the sons. Alfred and Nellie Maurice owned a farm in Guthrie, KY - until the time of Nellie's death. Anyone out there have any cemetery records that might list a Nellie Maurice or any other information of knowledge of this family? I have photos of Nellie and her son Ed and also have photos of them in front of the farm. Any help would be appreciated. THis one has me stuck! Leslie
