I hate to bother you busy ladies, but I'm in desperate need of an address. Thought I might find it on the KY Library and Archive site, but it appears this is a County issue. I need copies of a few Guardian Bonds, listed on the Todd site, and also a copy of my great-great grandmother's marriage certificate. Have that info as well. Since there hasn't been a ton of activity on the Todd site of late to answer questions, I thought it best to go straight to the top. Just hate to be a pain, but I really do need this material. The Todd County Court House said they don't have the bonds, but they didn't tell me who does. I'll be more than happy to pay whatever is necessary. You two have your hands full, I'm quite sure. Can't imagine taking on so many tasks. And all voluntary. Amazing. All I need is a point in the right direction. Seems right now I'm wandering around in a paper bag. Getting kind of stuffy in here, let me tell ya. Thanks in advance for your time and effort. Your help is always deeply appreciated. Jenny Nickels

I don't remember off the top of my head if I have any census records listing Artford's children. I have to look. That would strengthen the assumption that Benjamin could be a son to Artford. Also did Artford or Benjamin leave any wills? If the marriage date is correct for Martha Sears and Benjamin, 1879. Martha is not the mother of the children born before the years of 1879! Another mystery! Mary

Hi listers. Sorry to make two postings, but I didn't want to get anyone confused, including myself. I need the address/location where I can send a request for copies of guardian bonds. The ones I need are listed on the Todd Web site, but no address given. Alreadly mailed money and a request to the Court House, but they sent it back saying they don't have those records housed there. I desperately need these papers. Partly for verification of info and part for my DAR application. Boy, is that a lot of work. Sure do appreciate ya'll's time. Thanks in advance. Jenny in Texas
I finally busted my brick wall. Came crashing down after searching for so long. NOW, of course, there are holes to fill in. I need as much info as I can obtain on SAMUEL SHERROD, PIETY HORN and their children, etc. One of their daughters, SARAH E. SHERROD, married CLINTON LAFAYETTE QUARLES, later changed to QUALLS. Clinton died in the Civil War and apparently Sarah also died during that same time period. They were in Robertson County, TN before their deaths. Their children were scattered amongst relatives, one of which was SAMUEL SHERROD and his wife, PIETY, living in Todd County. I have access to census info so I can acquire some of the other kids names. At this point I'm looking for HORN and SHERROD info. Happy to say that I now have my Qualls line mapped out! Such a thrill! Hope to hear from someone so I can share this new found link. Thanks for your time. Jenny in Texas (Hey Lillian! Can you believe it!!! Fell from the heavens all the way back to pre revolution!)
Need help in finding Needham Jones. Was born in 1st district Montgomery County, Tennessee probably in the 1840's or 1850's. He was the son of William M. Jones (Testate 1867) and Margaret Bunting Jones. Brothers were David Russell Jones, James D, Thomas B. Edward B., William Bunting, Lentulus A., Joseph and John. Sisters were Eliza Jane Maner, Martha Halsell, Rossanah Knight, Piety Coleman, Susan Bryan. Seems Needham Jones lived at different times in Montgomery County, Tn. Robertson County Tn., and Todd County, Ky. His wife's name was something like Armintha?. Believe they were both still living in 1900. Bill Jones

There were plenty of Wells and Longs in this area! And, yes, Kirksmanville is in Todd County. Used to have a movie theatre, post office and more. Now it's got about 90 people and a couple of grocery stores. Mike
