For over 90 years many have tried in our family to find a birth record/death record on Nicholas/Nicolas Cassetty. Did he have another name besides Nicholas/Nicolas. His Grandson is the one that gave his name to us and that he only new him as Nicholas or Nicolas. We have he was married to Susan Jenkins and they had two children. We cannot find a marriage record. In Cal's Column it says she was married to Alex Cassetty. Could Nicholas been Nicholas Alexander or Alexander Nicholas. I am again posting this to try and break the brick wall that has so been unbreakable. If any one has any kind of information please forward it. Someone said he might have been born in a part of Virginia that became West Virginia and that was a part of Augusta County at one time. His parents Thomas and Sarah Thomas Cassetty. Thomas born 1762 in Augusta County, VA. This was a big county at that time. Thomas married Sarah in Franklin County VA in abt 1796 per information I have. We know from pension records that Thomas father was Thomas Cassetty. We think Nicholas died about 1825 to 1830. thanks for any help or info again -- Jeannie God Bless God Speed
