BERTRAM REUNION, JULY 14, 12 NOON TO 3:00 P.M, EDT, ASPIRE CENTER, MONTICELLO, WAYNE CO., KY. . . . AIR CONDITIONED LOCATION THIS YEAR PER REQUEST. Everyone is welcome who has a tie with any branch of the Bertram family (all spellings) or is researching one. Most of the local residents are descended from Nancy (Stinson) and William Bertram, "The Parents of the Wayne Co., KY Bertrams". Many of the regular attendees are from their son, Rev Jonathan Bertram and his wife, Pharaba (Adkins) Bertram, but descendants of Betsy (Hull) and Joel Bertram and others also attend. Utensils and paper goods will be furnished. Bring a prepared dish to share, your genealogy books, notes, questions, cameras, and most important . . . your family! In past years we have had the shelter house at the park all day and people have been arriving as early as 9 A.M. and staying until after 3 P.M. We will have to sacrifice the extended time to visit this year in order to hold it in an air conditioned place. The Aspire Center is rented by a church for services until 12 noon so please do not plan to be there before noon unless you plan to help Tammy Wray set up the room. Driving direction to the Aspire Center from the city park per Tammy Wray of Monticello, who is in charge of the reunion: "Come out of the park to main road, turn left, stay on road until you get to stop light turn right on North main, stay on North main until it ends on 90, go straight across 90 to 1275 (runs beside Kroger) aspire center 2nd building on left past Kroger shopping center" Don't forget that Monticello is on Eastern Daylight Time, also called "fast time".
