I'm new to this list, so please forgive me if I'm asking for information previously available. My ancestor, Henry Hopkins, and his wife, Hannah (Burr), moved to Shelby County, KY from Greene County, KY (circa 1796-7), and previously, from Penn (c 1780). They were both originally from East Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island. Henry Hopkins served throughout (all years) the Revolutionary War, in the Continental Line from Connecticut. Henry and Hannah Hopkins sold land in Greene County, KY in Aug 1801, Oct 1801, Dec 1801. Their names appear on the County Tax Rolls in 1802, 1803. In 1807, Henry's name appears on the Shelby County, KY tax rolls, again in 1808, 1810, & 1811. It does not appear in 1812 or after. Since Henry was born 1843, it is certainly possible he was no longer living after 1811 (age 68). I need proof of his death, and that of his wife, and if possible, a copy of his Will or Estate Papers to complete my DAR application. Would anyone be able to help me with this? I will be glad to reimburse expenses and time for your efforts. Best regards, Dianne E. Janis in Flat Rock, NC
