    3. If , by chance you are (or are going to be) in Kentucky, the new Kentucky History Center in Frankfort has a great library. They have all kinds of birth and death certificates. IIRC, they have certificates from about 1911 up to 1948 (I think) on microfilm. At the time I was there in February, the cost for copies was .30. They also have older ones in files, but I didn't get a chance to investigate those. I was too busy playing with the microfilm! I was there for a day and didn't even scratch the surface of what I wanted to do, yet I came home with about 10 birth and death certificates I had been looking for.
