Col. Whittaker served in the Civil War, was from MT. Eden, Shelby County or Spencer County, KY A letter I have from Henry Clay Terrell written durning the Civil War( 1862) to his wife Eliza. They have a new baby girl. Henry writes, we will name the new babe, Nancy for her beloved grandmother and WHITTAKER for the brave Col. Whittaker. I would appreciate any information on Col.
