Hello Alice, Thanks for posting! I am researching BELL, TAYLOR, and SWEARANGER surnames in Shelby County. I have just started, so I will tell you what I know so far. John W. TAYLOR is my gggg grandfather, his daughter Eunice E. TAYLOR b. 1826, married John Breckenridge BELL b. 1826. Son of Zachariah BELL and Susanna SWEARANGER. John and Eunice moved to Jefferson County, KY, then on to Christian Co., KY. According to family stories, there may be a connection to President Zachary TAYLOR, but this is yet unproven. Maybe you or someone else will recognize these family members! I would love to know more about them. Beth
