Allison: I just looked up "W" Davis in the 1850 census for Shelby Co. There is a farmer listed as 72 years old in Dist #1, dwelling #499, household #1 who had in his household a 64 year-old female "J." -- both born in VA -- and two younger KY-born males one 7 and one 24. The handwriting is so ornate that I cannot make out their initials. I also have a Warren and a Jane in the 1860 census. Is this your line? Byron "Allison W.
