Rachel, Tell me more about this Franklin book. I guess I missed the early discussion. I am a GOUGH/GOFF researcher. It appears the name was spelled both ways in Shelby, Henry & Oldham Counties, KY. My part of the family that moved to central IL spelled it Gough. The group that went to IN spelled it Goff. I'm searching for the ancestors of William Gough Jr. who married Rachel Rancey?, who died about 1825 in Oldham Co, KY. I'm almost sure his father was William Gough Sr. who married 1) Francis Weaver in 1790; 2) Mary Fisher in 1831 & 3) Lucy Powell in 1834. From there I have only some clues that I picked up from the LDS Family Search website a couple of days ago. Do you think the book would help? Unless it's on-line somewhere, I may need lookup help. Unless there is a copy in a Denver, CO area library.
