I too have a Shelby county Miles...but he is not a relative. He is the man who had my gggrandfather and his brother as indentured servants in 1818. His name was James Miles and he was in Shelby Co., KY, 1815 up to at least 1830. I would love to find some more information on this Miles family in Shelby Co. to see if there is any further record of my ancestor. He hired my ancestors as indentured "housejoiners." My ancestor's name was James M Alexander and his brother Edvin. Their father, also in Shelby Co at the time, was also named Edvin Alexander.
