    1. Re: [KYSHELBY] Taylors
    2. Donna, I am very interested in your TAYLOR family. Do you have any dates for Elizabeth Taylor mother of Reuben? I have a Eunice Elizabeth Taylor b. 1826 in Shelby Co. KY whose mother is probably named Sarah from VA, born abt. 1799. Eunice's father is John W. Taylor, and she may have had a brother named Phillip W. Taylor. I have heard that this family may be related somehow to Zachary Taylor, but I have not made the connection yet. Is the "History of the Taylor Family" book yours? I would like to look at a copy at our library if it is available. Can you tell me anything more about this book? Thank you so much for the reply, I hope we can make a connection with our families! Beth

    3. Laurel, Have a few slight references in Willis to Andrew, Bolling, James, Jesse, Sarah, and Waller Holmes and to an Andrew Holmes in "Wills & Estates" but no Robert. The 1840 Census does show a Robert Holmes in Shelby Co., p.135. Have some info on a Robert James Holmes (b.15 Jan 1810 Shelby Co., KY; d.21 Jun 1886), father Jesse Holmes, mother Nancy Ann Drusilla Taylor if that's any help - or perhaps I'm just muddying the waters.
