I noticed that you are researching the Davis line from Shelby Co. My husbands line is from there. I have Warren Davis marrying Jane Stone in Virginia and their child is Warren Davis b 2/25/1824, who moved to Shelby County and married 1st,Ellen Carter and then Mary Jane Thomas. They had a child named William Davis. Warren also had a brother named Josiah. Their probably were other siblings but I don't know of any. Is this your line? Any help you could give me would be great. Book shows a Thomas Jacob in the "Inventories & Appraisals" section; Will Bk 1, p. 26 1797. This indicates he was deceased by that time and that some paperwork exists but not neccessarily anything with survivors names.
