    1. Brown
    2. Ira C. Nickle
    3. I am researching my 2G grandfather William Brown who left a will in Shelby County dated 19 June 1821. He left his entire estate to his minor son, my great-grandfather Travis Brown. Elijah Maddox, a son of Wilson Maddox, was named the will's executor and guardian of Travis. Travis married Sarah Ann Lindsay on 30 October 1828 in Shelby County. Sarah Ann was a daughter of Anthony Lindsay and his wife Rachel Ann Dorsey. The Lindsay and Dorsey families were MD families. Travis and Sarah Ann moved to Jackson County, IN between 1836 and 1838. I would like to learn more of the Brown ancestry. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ira

    2. Hello everyone, I am searching for information on Rev. George W. Flowers. He was the minister of the Hope Mission, which was part of St Paul's Parrish in Hickman County. I was told his name appears on many minister's returns over the latter part of the 1800's. I also think he was married in Shelbyville and his first son was born there. Thanks Edie [email protected]

    1. Burnett
    2. Kevin K. Stephenson
    3. Greetings from Kansas! I have just joined the list for Shelby County this evening, and I wanted to check in with a query and an offer of information. I am a descendant of James Cunningham Burnett (1776-1839) of Shelby County. I am very interested in corresponding with anyone related to the Burnetts there, and will share any and all information that I have. I am currently working on tracing back beyond J.C.'s grandfather, whose estate was settled in Prince Edward County, VA. (George Burnet[t], who married Margaret Cunningham). I've been told that we're related to Burnett of Leys, Scotland, but I am trying to confirm this with reliable data. Anyone out there know where James Cunningham Burnett or his wives are buried? (Wives, Keziah Pulliam, ? Watson, Catherine Gill) I've found gravesites for several James C. Burnett's there in Shelby county, but not the right one. I have a picture of James C. Burnett's and Permelia Shepard's gravesite (this one born 1814), on my website. I also have info on James's siblings, John, Henry, George, etc., for anyone who asks. I am descended through J.C. and Keziah's only child, Pryor Burnett, who moved to Indiana about 1837-40. If you're related, or know anything you'd be willing to share, let me hear from you! Kevin K. Stephenson (mom was a Burnett) 1600 Kentucky St. #2 Lawrence, KS 66044 (785)865-1586 Data/Fax: (785)865-2555 e-mail: [email protected] website: http://falcon.cc.ukans.edu/~kevin2/homepage.html

    2. Larry McWilliams
    3. I am looking for information on David McWilliams. I believe he was married to Jane Boyd, daughter of George Boyd in 1812 in Shelby County. David came to Shelby County from Ireland. He had several children, I only know the name of George Thomas McWilliams. George Thomas was born in Shelby County in 1832 and married Elizabeth Busey, daughter of John Simpson Busey and Mary Underwood Busey, in 1858. They then moved to Missouri. I don't know where in Ireland David came from or even when. I would also like to know his other children's name (the 1850 census lists only initials, and the handwriting is such that I can't even figure out what some of the initials are.) I don't know when or where he died, if he even stayed in Kentucky. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful. Thank you, Margaret McWilliams
