Although the 1850 census says he was born in KY, he owned quite a bit of land so was fairly affluent. He is shown in District 2 Russell Co., with wife Elizabeth and children: John, Jane, James, William G., Mary C. Elias and Margaret ll born KY. Cannot find a burial for Elias in any of the Cemetery's I have, including the SMITH Cemetery. Perhaps he is buried in with some of the Meadows family or on the family farm.
