I have one genealogy that lists Moses Harkness as the son of Nathaniel. One of them is a genealogy compiled by William Surber Wilson (a school teacher and baptist minister) in 1976, called "Our Kentucky Kinfolks." This appears to be a very complete genealogy and cites sources. He starts with James Wilson b. abt 1710 in Virginia and lists the family this way: James Wilson Thomas Wilson Nathaniel Moses Harkness I have another genealogy (put together by descendants of Cyrus (Matt) Wilson) that lists them this way: James Wilson Thomas Wilson Moses Wilson Sr. Moses H. Wilson Jr. This genealogy is not as well documented and no sources are cited.
