I was looking over the census records collected. According to the official census date of 1 June 1860 - William was alive, 84 years of age, declared insane and listed as being able to read and write. The census taker was at the door on 18 June 1860. He was residing in the home of Ephraim CAIN in Russell Dist., Russell Co. KY. Margaret is not listed therefore she most likely died after June 1 1850, but before 1 June 1860. William was definitely alive on 1 June 1860, but he may have actually died after that date and before the census taker arrived on 18 June 1860. Who knows which census takers followed the rules? Please tell us more about Anna CAIN, dau of William and Margaret. This is the first I've heard her name. Who did she marry? Where did she live? I like hearing about the siblings and their spouses names. Thanks for the help. Diane in CA
