His wife was Polly (maybe Mary) who died about 1850 in Jamestown, KY. Their children were Dempsey, William, Edith (Edy), Mary (Racy), Margaret (Peggy), Martha Ann (Patsy) , Sarah (Sally), and possibly a James and a Malinda. An 1830 census shows three Hills with families and households in Russell County: Gabriel (age 60-70), James (age 40-50), & Riley (age 20-30). I believe James may have been his brother and they may have come to Russell Co. from North Carolina. Any family or vital information on Gabriel or his family members will be greatly appreciated.
