I have no information on his parents, however John married Canzada Cox of Sumner Co. Tn., they had a daughter named Claudie Mai Meeks b.1904 d. 1947. John later married a Sarah Cunningham in 1908 also of Sumner Co. Tn and they had a son James R. Meeks b.1911 d.1951. James helped build Wolf Creek Dam.
