    3. The following was in The Dispatch, Lexington, NC newspaper on Feb. 7, 2006 ORVILLE WADE Orville Amos Wade, 81, of Brown Street, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at his residence. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at National Cemetery in Salisbury with graveside rites by the Rowan County Veterans Council. Mr. Wade was born March 23, 1924, in Russell County, KY., to Cassius Wade and Eppie Rexroad Wade. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and after retiring, he owned and operated a tractor and lawn mower shop. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lavona Sullivan Wade, his second wife, Betty Major Wade; and 11 brothers and sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Cathy DePoy of Geneva, Ohio, and Debra Ethan of Wickliffe, Ohio; one son, Larry Wade of Roaming Shores, Ohio; two stepsons, Jack Patterson of Charlotte and Glenn Patterson; five grandchildren; three-great grandchildren; a number of step grandchildren; one sister, Dorpha Heagle of Seymore, Ind. and one brother, Herbert Wade of Russell Springs, Ky. The family will receive firends from 6 to 8 tonight at Piedmont Funeral Home. This is my uncle - my dad's brother and there are some errors in this article. His mother (and my grandmother) name was Eppie Jane Rexroat, not Rexroad. Six brothers and sisters preceded him in death, not 11. They are: Elvis, Arnold, Arie, Ivel, Mary & David. He has a brother, James, that is still living also besides Herbert & Dorpha. Betty Wade Putnam
