I wondered if anyone had any information on Millie Arisa Dishman, b. March 1877. She married Socrates "Crat" Hart in 1898. The 1900 Russell County census shows Socrates, age 74, married 2 years. His wife, Millie A. born in March 1877, age 23, married 2 years, born Kentucky. 1 child, 1 living. However, the only other person living in the household was Abba I. Hart, daughter (by Nancy Brown), born Feb. 1865, age 35, single, born Kentucky. I thought maybe someone who is related on the Dishman line, might shed some light on why the child wasn't listed on the census records. Thanks, Betty Putnam
Hi Betty, In the 1910 census Abbey I. Hart is listed at the bottom of Samuel M. Hart's family as his sister. She is listed as 46 years old and single. If she had ever been married she would have been listed as widowed. First listed is Samuel, then his wife, Laura, dau-Lona, son-Alpha, son-Otha, son-Marvin, son-Ireland, then Abbey. This is part of the proof that I use to show that Samuel M.(Mack) Hart was the son of Socrates.
