    3. Hi Marilyn, How does your family tie in with this Shepherd family? My 3rd great grandmother was Phoebe Judd, who married James Paul, Sr. Her parents were Nathaniel Judd, Jr. & Delphia Shepherd. Delphia was a daughter of John Shepherd, Sr. & Sarah Jennings and a sister to Stephen. Some accounts say that John Shepherd, Sr. was married to Sarah Rash, not Sarah Jennings. Do you have anything on this? Thanks much. Betty Putnam ----- Original Message ----- From: "J & M. 3. Hi Morris You and I have emailed many times before...................Without going into my files this time of the night/morning.......and only thru memory, I would say we are connected thru Irena B. Shepherd/Sheppard, second wife of Jackson D. Richardson. She was daughter of Andrew Shepher and Barbery Phillips and granddaughter of John Shepherd and Sarah Jennings. Stephen Shepherd was a brother of John Shepherd, b: about 1768/9 in Spotsylvania, VA and emigrated to Russell Co., KY where he died in 1825. I just have never heard about Webb's Cemetery. I know there are lots of those little family cemeteries that have been long plowed under or trampled down (like our Acre/Acree cemetery off Old Providence Road where many of my Acre/Deener ancesters are buried and last look, only one crooked stone remained).............. I think there is another connection thru the Robertsons also, but it is deep. Marilyn

    3. My gggrandfather was Stephen Shepherd. He and his son, my gggrandfather, James (Thomas) Shepherd were both buried at the Webb Cemetery. I looked for the graveyard some 40 years ago where my father said it was--on the Mount Olive road. I found a small fenced lot just on the side of the road some 3/4 miles from Ky 76. It was overgrown with honeysuckle. I found a few field stones but couldn't identify anyone in the plot. I went back many years later and it had been plowed under. A few years ago, some cousin said that a Webb Cemetery was located about 1-1/2 miles off KY 76 on a private road going north off the Mount Olive road. I went there but couldn't find any marked stones for the Shepherds even though there are a lot of old field stones there. Is Stephen Shepherd our common ancestor? --------------------------------- Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click.

    3. Does anyone know of a WEBB Cemetery at Webbs Crossroads, Russell County, Kentucky??? I'm not familiar with it and know of several small Cemeteries in that general area, including the old Jericho/Humble where tons of the Webb's Crossroads people are buried along with the old Robertson Family cemeteries, but I've never run across a Webb Cemetery. Perhaps it is on some of the old Webb property. At any rate, I was reviewing some old emails and ran across someone indicating they had a Stephen Shepard/Sheppard buried in Webb Cemetery, Webbs Crossroad, KY and I wondered if anyone knew about it. Thanks, Marilyn P.
