(I didnt see it transcribed on the Russell County site- but that doesnt mean anything). just wondered, Gina
I am looking for information on William K Wilson who married Nancy (Unknown). Was in Russell County in the 1870 census. He was born 1810-1820. Some children are (not all): General Squire Elmira (m. George B Johnson) Would like to know where they are interred; however, ANY information is appreciated. Thanks! Gina
Gina, I have William K. Wilson, born 1816 in KY, as the son of Thomas Wilson (ca. 1792 Henry, VA) and his 2nd wife, Elizabeth Kinder. William K. married Nancy Smith 26 Nov. 1838 Russell, KY. She was born ca. 1818 KY and was possibly the daughter of a William Smith. Their daughter, Elmira Wilson, married George B. Johnson, the brother of my gt-gt grandfather, John W. Johnson. Ron
The following was in The Dispatch, Lexington, NC newspaper on Feb. 7, 2006 ORVILLE WADE Orville Amos Wade, 81, of Brown Street, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at his residence. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at National Cemetery in Salisbury with graveside rites by the Rowan County Veterans Council. Mr. Wade was born March 23, 1924, in Russell County, KY., to Cassius Wade and Eppie Rexroad Wade. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and after retiring, he owned and operated a tractor and lawn mower shop. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lavona Sullivan Wade, his second wife, Betty Major Wade; and 11 brothers and sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Cathy DePoy of Geneva, Ohio, and Debra Ethan of Wickliffe, Ohio; one son, Larry Wade of Roaming Shores, Ohio; two stepsons, Jack Patterson of Charlotte and Glenn Patterson; five grandchildren; three-great grandchildren; a number of step grandchildren; one sister, Dorpha Heagle of Seymore, Ind. and one brother, Herbert Wade of Russell Springs, Ky. The family will receive firends from 6 to 8 tonight at Piedmont Funeral Home. This is my uncle - my dad's brother and there are some errors in this article. His mother (and my grandmother) name was Eppie Jane Rexroat, not Rexroad. Six brothers and sisters preceded him in death, not 11. They are: Elvis, Arnold, Arie, Ivel, Mary & David. He has a brother, James, that is still living also besides Herbert & Dorpha. Betty Wade Putnam

I had Andrew in my data with a wife Elizabeth b 1828, no last name, but I had 3 children: Rosaline, James C., and Unity. This is Unity's marriage info: "Charles HERRIFORD & Unity MILLER married on 30 July 1873 at the home of Elizabeth Coleman in the presence of Luke Harmon, John Herriford [brother] & Jackson Wheat, by Jacob Brown. Bond signed G. T. Isbell." Notice she was married at the home of Elizabeth COLEMAN. Using your clue that she married a Coleman ??, and Unity's marriage info above, I found her living with her 2nd husband, James C. Coleman, 1870 Russell Co., P 195B, ancestry image 19 of 26, Hammons Store. James C. Coleman, age 49, farmer, value of real estate owned $400, value of personal estate $400, b TN, cannot read and write; Rilley E. Coleman, age a45, b KY, cannot read and write; Louisa Coleman, age 4, b KY; Roseline Miller, age 23, b KY, cannot write; James Miller, age 21, farm laborer, b KY, cannot read and write; Unaty Miller, age 19, b KY, cannot read and write; Nancy Miller, age 17, b KY, cannot read and write; William Miller, age 16, farm laborer, b KY, cannot read and write; Mary Miller, age 16, b KY, cannot read and write. Rilley E.? Evidently Elizabeth is her middle name. Anyway, this fills in my data nicely! The only other question is if Andrew Miller, Richard Miller, and Mary "Polly" Miller, d/o of William & Catherine Miller, are siblings? Glenda

Sandy, John P. Burchett is my second cousin five times removed. I have three children for John and Nancy: William L. Burchett, Sarah J. Burchett, and Perry Burchett. I don't know if they had more children than that or not. I also don't have any spouses for the children. Do you have any of this info? Thank you. Chris
