WHITTLE as the father and mother of Richard and 5 other children. They married 19 FEB 1843. Darcas died in 1962. William JR. married Serene PATE on 28 SEP 1865 and they had 7 more children. None of these children are named Anna. Millie STEPHENS married William SR. WHITTLE on 18 NOV 1846. In marriage records, it states that Milly is the daughter of John Stephens, Sr., who gave his consent personally. This is William SR.'s second marriage, of three. William Sr. was born in 1801, and Milly Stephens was born in 1824. His third wife was 34 years his junior. There are quite a few Ann Whittle's that could be around the right age. Rosemary, do you have any clue which one she may be?

Brown and John F. Isbell. Bond signed by Welcome Steven. That was the exact wording. The entry before that is: Richard Whittle and Sarah E. Isbell married on 25 Jan. 1870, at the home of John F. Isbell in the presence of Newton Dunbar and Joshua D. Kennett, by Jocob [sic] W. Brown, MG. Bond signed by Newton Dunbar. Maybe Richard is a brother, or even father of Anna, since John F. Isbell is a witness at Anna's wedding to James Henry Stevens. SUSAN

I can't remember if I ever told you about the old ACRE Cemetery on what used to be the ACRE farm . A lot of the ACRE/ACREE and DEENER family is buried there. The last time there we only saw one grave yet standing.. It is at the top of slope underneath a tree in the front pasture of what is now the STAPP farm. It may have changed again, I don't know, but it was : Stapp, Boyce 384 Providence Rd Columbia, KY 42728 Years ago there were many gravestones there. Are you aware of this one?
