    3. Marie, I don't recognize any of the cemeteries, but from Russell Co. stay on So. 127, go across Wolf Creek Dam and stay on that road until you reach Clinton Co. (Albany,KY). Casey Co, is the same except the opposite, it will be North on Hwy 127. To go to Wayne Co. take 127 South, go across Wolf Creek Dam, stay on this until you see where Hwy 90 crosses 127. Take a left on Hwy 90 until you come to Wayne Co. (Monticello, Ky.) Hope this helps. Linda

Can anyone tell me how to obtains names and directions to some of these old relocated sites? I suspect that my great grandparents, George WILKERSON and his wife, Tiriece Emaline ALLEN was buried in the Horseshoe Bottom, Clyde or Lulu area. They were last know to be living in 1892 at Clyde. gg-grand mother, (Tiriece's mother) Nancy JONES ALLEN was buried at Mt. Hope-Bugwood, Wayne Co. about 1900. She lived to be almost 100 and very well may have out lived her daughter. Nancy's husband, Henry Allen was killed in 1863 and he was buried at Davis' Methodist Cemetery near the Clinton-Wayne border. I will not have very much time in Russell,Clinton, Wayne and Casey Counties so I need to make every moment count. Thanks, Marie in Texas

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XBB.2ACE/496.526.533 Message Board Post: Andrew Jackson Dancy and Margaret Brown Dancy are my great great great grandparents. Yes, tracking them is difficult. Their oldest daughter, Mary Jane is my great great grandmother. I know that Andrew Jackson Dancy's parents were Ruth Eads Dancy and David LaFaver. A male child was born to her Dec. 17, 1831 and she filed a support claim in Wayne Co. KY against David LaFaver. Jackson Dancy was deceased at this time but she gave the Dancy name to Andrew Jackson Dancy. Margaret Brown is my dead end. Do you know who Nancy and Margaret's father was. I'm guessing it might be Noah Brown as he is in Wayne County Kentucky as were the Dancys and it seemed a possibility. I will check your alternate spelling of Dancy as I've lost them after 1870. Mary Jane Dancy married James B. Massie Marsha Minton

    3. Anna, thanks for your reply. Someone told me about the web site of Beech Grove United Methodist Church in Pulaski County. It did not have the tombstones I was searching. Glenda Hall says Beech Grove cemetery in Russell County, KY is also known as McFarland or Warrier cemetery. She says it is located below the Wolf Creek dam at Kendall. Thanks for your help. Allen

    3. Thanks for the directions to Beech Grove Cemetery in Russell County. I should have stated what individuals I was trying to locate. I was looking for a tombstone that has E.D. or ED on it with dates 1774-1828, age 84. To be 84, the person would have been born in 1744. The corrected dates are the same as Edward Long. In the old Pierce cemetery, he was grave #38. Graves #39 & 40 were Samuel Long and wife Nancy Long. Samuel Long was the son of Edward Long. Samuel and Nancy Long were moved to Jamestown. Other graves with names on tombstones that were moved from Pierce Cemetery to Beech Grove were G. T. Isbell, Nathan McClure, A.L., Sytha A. Ballou, infant Ballou, and a good many unknowns. Thanks for your help.

    3. I have visited Beech Grove Cemetery in Russell County. Beech Grove Cemetery is also known by McFarland Cemetery and Warriner Cemetery. It is located below the Wolf Creek Dam at Kendall, Russell Co. My memory is bad on the exact directions but I will write my cemetery-hopping friend, Steve Vaughan, and get the exact directions and get them over to you. We videotaped this cemetery a few years back. I am working on transcribing the video but haven't finished it-another "To-Do" item. I will also be tackling some other census records and would like to have all years posted as soon as possible. I will be working on 1880 next, then 1870. I would like to build a census team to complete 1900, 1910 and 1930. It would make a huge task simpler if each enumeration district could be done by one individual, then other members of the team could proofread. Drop me a line if anyone is interested. I have gotten a lot of valuable info out of it.
