The book, THE WILKERSON FAMILY-From England to Texas, is coming along on schedule and should be completed by the first of the year.-(about 300 pages now ) I would just like to have several bits of information that I can't seem to locate. Does anyone have any information about when and where Hannah Wilkerson, wife of Steve Sullivan died and where they married? The 1870 Russell Co, KY Census lists her as 9 years old and 1880 Russell Co. states she is 16. She could have been born in Clinton County as her two older brothers, James Henry and 'Bill' William were born there. Ancestry.com lists Steve Sullivan's death as July 6, 1943 in Wayne County, KY at age 78. Hannah and Steve's children are: Frank Sullivan, Helen Sullivan, Mattie Sullivan, Frances Sullivan, Charlie Sullivan, Birdie Sullivan and Clare Pearl Sullivan. Thanks for any help. I've been getting my orders in about 3 days and that's a lot faster than the Tennessee archives. The URL is: www.tndeathcertificates.com
I'm not sure either. I have found records in Russell County, KY library that there were Oaks family that moved to Iowa then Kansas, also Texas. It gets hard to trace them when the roots get so sketchy... Action Road, and one on the right just at the Adair Co. border, which is 11 miles away from Columbia by the map. Good Luck!

I found a notation in some Bryant family history that says the following: "A long time ago there was a cemetary on some land. A David Walker bought this land with a lot of our ancestors buried there. A few years later, the state of Ky built a new highway through this property. It was Route #80. The graves all had to be moved. They were moved to the property of Franklin P Bryant. This was ten miles out of Columbia Ky on the Jamestown Russell and Old Springs Road. They only put up white wooden crosses on the graves. The years have taken their toll of these markers. This is all part of our heritage. If you ever get to go to Columbia, go and see this graveyard." My father is from Russell Springs but we were not able to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

He might have been a Holt who changed his name in th 1850s due to the con games that an Ambrose Holt pulled on Russell County residences in the 1820s. 2) I am a cousin of Elmer Hill - Allison Hill was his grandfather (as well as Nanny Womacks) but I don't know who his parents were 3) My grandfather, Henry Clay Eades, was abandoned by his father Sheridan (also know as Sherman and Sherrod) Eads. His father was William Eads and his grandfather was Asa Eads. I know very little about Sheridan Eads and very little on his mother and grandmother 4) I can trace myself back to Francis McElroy Sr of Adair County but I have no information about the McElroys beyond that point. If I can help you at all, please let me know.
