The daughter of William Bailey and Isabella Day, Rachel Bailey, married David L. McElroy. This is where my McElroy Line starts. My Elzy Bailey (born April 1871) was the son of Austin (born about 1854) and Della Bailey, found in the 1880 Russell Co., Ky Census. I can't find where Elzy died and where he is buried. He died sometime after the 1910 Census and before 1920. Elzy's wife, Martha Ann McElroy is buried in the McElroy Cemetery, there in Russell Co., Ky. I can't find Austin after the 1880 Russell Co., Census either. Maybe Austin is a middle name??? He could be a son to one of the Bailey's in Adair Co. Ky. Austin is my brick wall. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help! After the Civil War they lived in Pulaski County. William's father was Asa B Eads who was born in Harlan Ky. He is buried in an unmarked grave at Mills National Cemetery in Nancy Ky. (died during the Civil Ward) I know who Asa was, but I have no proof that his son William is my gg-grandfather. Asa's father was George Nelson who was born in Virginia and died in Casey County Ky. His father was Thomas Eads - son on Abraham. I don't know if they came straight from VA to KY.
