Gary. I looked at some copies of the original census records and they used the word or place of "Rowes Crossroads". I have also noticed that Julian R. Long is sometimes listed as Roe and other times as Rowe. Going through my paper files, I came across some material that had been sent to me by K.I. Tabor in Overland Park, Ks. She had copied it from two different books. One was from ROCK OF AGES which I have. This book list the deceased in Clinton County and where they are buried. I am looking through my paper file, trying to find her e-mail address. I think she usually used "Kathry T." The other one is RELOCATED CEMETERIES OF RUSSELL, CLINTON, WAYNE AND PULASKI COUNTIES, KENTUCKY published kby Asher Leon Young in 1989. She had found this found at the library in her area. He is now dead and my research shows that Westery KY U. Library has all of his materials and collection. I put a request in for it through the Inter-Loan Library. One of the big libraries near you might have it. She sent a copy of a map that shows where all the cemeteries were located prior to the filling of Cumberland Lake. It was taken from a much larger map and my copy is so small that I cannot read it with a magnifing glass. In looking through the pages I found Almas P. Owens that died in 1903 at age 1 and Myrtle E. Owens died in 1901 at age 1. They had been buried in the Pierce Cemetery where several Longs were buried. They were moved to Collins Cemetery. Permission was given by M.L. Owens, father living in Foard City, Texas. I assume this is your family line. The best to you in this Christmas season. I am interested in talking with anyone researching these two families. I do have some info on the Russell County Hart line that I am willing to share. I also have been trying to see if our Brown line connects back to Jacob Brown who was part of the Watauga Settlement. I believe it does.
