As the host of the Rowan Co USGenWeb site, I receive a lot of queries from people seeking assistance in researching their Rowan County families. (About five to ten requests per week.) Many of them I can help through the records from online resources such as Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org and GenealogyBank.com, but there are a lot of records available locally that are not online, and I live in California. So it would be very helpful to have at least one assistant (preferably more, to reduce the workload on any one person) who lives in Rowan County and who has the time to be able to do things like go to the County Courthouse and do lookups in the marriage record books, or go to the county library and do obituary lookups.
