On Thursday, January 27th at 6:00pm at the Rowan County Public Library Community Room, there will be a planning meeting for any and all interested in organizing the Sesquicentennial Birthday of Rowan County. The county will be 150 years in the year 2006, but plans are to get underway now for ways to prepare for the ( year-long) celebration. This planning group hopes to meet quarterly with breakout committees meeting in off months. If you want to help in any capacity, even via email, please let me know.
