Hello Fellow Researchers! I am hoping to find someone familiar with the family of Miranda Vallandingham (b. about 1830 KY) and her husand, John Benjamin Lancaster (b. abt 1821). I have full access to Ancestry.com, but have not been able to locate a marriage record for them. I first find them in 1860 in Union, Boone Co., KY. John is a boot and shoe maker. Their first 2 children (James F. b. abt 1854 and Clara b. abt 1856) were both born in Indiana. The next child, Isadora was born abt 1857 in Illinois. I believe John is the son of William L. Lancaster and Matilda ________. William and son John are on the 1850 census Dist 2 Boone Co., KY. Both are boot and shoe makers. I have not yet found Miranda in 1850 with her parents. Her middle name could be Ann. The Family Search site shows she could have died in 1915 in Rowan Co. it also shows that she married a second time to Abraham Choat about 1867. John must have died. I have been unable to locate her on the Kentucky Death Index. I would love to hear from anyone that might know of this family!
