9-22-2008: From Richmond, Indiana "Pal-Item" Martha (Collins) Mullins, age 82, of New Paris, Ohio, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind. Born on Dec. 19, 1925, in Rockcastle County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Dellia (Morris) Collins. Martha was a nurse's aide for three years at Cedar Springs Nursing Home in New Paris, Ohio. Member of New Paris Church of Christ. Martha enjoyed bowling and playing euchre with family and friends. Preceded in death by husband of 55 years, William F. "Bill" Mullins in 2005; three brothers; two sisters. Survived by children and spouse, Earl Franklin Mullins of New Paris, Ohio, Brenda and William "Bill" Brown of Eldorado, Ohio, and Willie D. Mullins of New Paris, Ohio; grandchildren, Kristina Evans, Belinda Eversole, Betsy Smith, B.J. Brown, Ryan Mullins, Aaron Mullins and Courtney Mullins; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, Ohio, with Minister Alan D. Keesling officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at the funeral home.
