I have an ancestor, Clark SKINNER b. 1794 KY who had land grants for property [5o acres] on Dry Fr. Crooked Creek and [50 acres] Dry Fk. Valley. I did find on a map that showed where the Dry Fk. Creek merged into the Crooked Creek the place close to where it merged was Johnetta KY. Would the land in that area have been called Dry Fk. Valley? The person he sold the land to on the 1850 census was listed as living in the Northern Dist. Did I find the correct place? If anyone knows anything about this area, I would love to hear about it. Just trying to pinpoint better where my ancestor lived. thanks so much, N.J.Skinner White : vwhite0901@aol.com _My Family Tree Page_ (http://hometown.aol.com/vwhite0901/myhomepage/heritage.html) & _My Family and more_ (http://hometown.aol.com/vwhite0901/myhomepage/family.html) "Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past."
