I am very pleased today because I made a new family connection. Our family spams Clay, Rockcastle and Bell Counties. Our grandfather, Pearl Smith, had two sisters that were put on a train and sent to the orphanage in Louisville after the death of his mother in 1911 & and his father in 1913. The sisters were never heard of again. Yesterday, I was contacted by the grandson of one on those girls looking for information. Pearl and his sisters are all gone now, but Pearl still has living children, grandchildren, great and great - great grandchildren. I was pleased to be able to send the links to those documents on to our newly found relative. And if I may, I would like to take a moment and encourage everyone to donate an ancestor to these wonderful websites that keep the family connections alive. J.
