So, yes, they do have a connection to my Edward Slaughter, but I just don't know how John Hampton Slaughter and my Edward were related. John Hampton Slaughter was already in Rockcastle Co. Ky on the Roundstone watercourse when Edward and his family arrived and lived on the same course. They can actually each go back several generations for a 'for sure' relationship in VA, but I'm thinking they were more like cousins. I have a lot of Slaughter info if you need some! Based on the census data, I assumed that Katy and Capitola Slaughter were daughters of Daniel G. Slaughter and Mary E. Stevens.
