1-06-2009: From Doan and Mills Funeral Home, Richmond, Indiana RICHMOND, Ind. - Archie G. McGuire, age 93, formerly of Richmond, died Monday, January 5, 2009, at Country Club Retirement in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Born January 29, 1915, in Rock Castle County, Kentucky to Lewis and Julia Coffey McGuire, he lived in Richmond for 35 years. Archie retired from AVCO as an inspector in 1972. Survivors include his two sons, Robert D. "Don" McGuire and his wife Karen of Fredericktown, Ohio and Kenneth McGuire of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 70 years, Daisy M. Gray McGuire; six brothers and two sisters. Visitation for Archie G. McGuire will be from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Underwood officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
