There are two dates listed so one is probably the date it was recorded and the other the marriage date. You can send for the marriage certificate and get the actual date from it. Hertig 17 Nov 1842 - 18 Jun 1902 A slight difference in birth year compared to his year of birth in the census but that was not uncommon to see. M. J. I guess would be for Mahala Jane, yes? He is buried in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Rockcastle County, Ky. Directions: On Route #25 south of Mt.
