The Forbis (Forbes/etc) were found early in Rockcastle Co KY ... I don't have any 'proof' on Druscilla/Drucilla ... but, she is a younger sister to my Anna Forbis who married George W. Henson of Laurel Co KY. I have not been researching Drucilla in particular, but I am 'very curious' about her marrying into a Lear/Lair family line, because my Henson line also connects to the Lear/Lair's. Drucilla and Anna's parents are William Forbis (Forbes/etc) and Sarah McCammon-Forbis, lastly of Laurel Co KY. William Forbis (Forbes/etc) is the son of Rev War Vet John Forbis (Forbes/etc) who lived out his life in Laurel Co KY. Drucilla Forbis married Thomas Lear/Lair in Laurel Co KY and had the following children (that I know of); John T. Lear/Lair b abt 1834 married Deborah 'Summers' June 1854 Laurel Co KY, Mary Ann Lear/Lair b abt 1834 married John 'Cornelius' on March 10, 1856 Laurel Co KY, and Thomas Lear/Lair JR married Mary 'Summers' abt 1854 Laurel Co KY. Drucilla's siblings are (not in birth order); my gggrandmother Anna Forbis (named after her grandmother Anna Cathers-McCammon) b abt 1808 Clay Co KY, William JR b abt 1813 Clay Co KY married to Adeline 'Parker', Elizabeth b abt 1816 married to Harrison Ross 'Porter', Elliot b abt 1829 married to Martha 'Parker' (sister? of Adeline Parker ... children of Phillip Alexander Parker and Margaret 'Peggy' Forbis (Forbes/etc), Asa P. born abt 1833 married to Lucinda Branstetter/Branstutter, Stephen (my gggrandmother Anna Forbis-Henson named her son Stephen Henson after her brother Stephen Forbis ... Stephen Henson is my greatgrandfather), Sarah b abt 1814 (named after her mother) married Allen 'Summers' (related to Mary Summers noted above?), and John Forbis b abt 1808 (named after his grandfather Rev War Vet John Forbis). John Forbis received a 'Deed of Gift' of land from his father William Forbis per Jan 11, 1846 Deed Book 'C' pg 144 Laurel Co KY. As a side note, Anna Forbis-Henson named one of her daughters 'Cornelia' possibly after the Forbis-Cornelius family connection.
